"Making the word of God free to all"
| Purpose: | The purpose of this project is to provide a useful study tool to research the bible. I have developed software of this nature for several years, although either web based or Windows only. Over the years I have developed some fast algorithims for searching that yield results one would actually look for. I therefore want to bring this tool, the searching and algorithims into the open source world. Along with it comes the text of the King James version bible. The word of God is meant to be spread and its ideas taught and listened to, not encumbered with legalisms regarding its use, or tools to view or research within it made for profit. People give themselves completely financially, physically, and otherwise to missionary or pastoral work, why not programming too? |
